The world is full of so many confusing ideas about sexuality and gender. We go through life with this concept that the world is black and white, that the world is binary. There’s man. There’s woman. There’s gay. There’s straight. We see it with race, with black and white. There’s not just black and white, there’s all of the colors in-between. And I think sexuality and gender and life is like that. The more I go through it; I have these experiences seeing how people- quite often straight men- react differently to Shane and Courtney. It always fascinates me because I realize, as I go through it all, that our similarities are greater than our differences. It all comes together to create this beautiful kaleidoscope, and that’s what makes the world such a fantastic place.  - Shane Jenek (Courtney Act)
